No! Our entire Bible School program and all activities are run in English. Also, our area of Europe is very international, so shopping and traveling can easily be done in English.
Each student receives a Bible certificate and a transcript upon completion of the course. While Tauernhof is not an accredited institution, some colleges and universities in North America and Europe may grant academic credit for completing a Bible School program here.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide details of other students due to data protection reasons.
Bible School can host up to 90 students and Upward Bound up to 44 students and is known for its warm, personal atmosphere and close-knit community. Each term brings together students from approximately ten different countries, primarily Canada, Germany, and the USA, along with a few from other parts of the world.
The average age in the Spring term is about 22 years old, at Upward Bound 22, while in the Fall term it’s around 19. Older applicants should bear that in mind before coming. In our experience, when older students understand that and choose to embrace it, it is a great blessing for them and the younger students. We warmly welcome students of all ages over 18. We also consistently have a good balance of genders in each group.
There is no deadline to apply, but it’s rather unrealistic to get in if you apply one week before Bible School/Upward Bound starts. Please consider that since our programs fill up fast, the sooner you sign up, the better your chances of getting a place! To check if there are still places available, please refer to the avalibility status on the Bible School & Upward Bound course pages.
Students are housed in shared dorm rooms with 2 to 6 people per room, and each room has its own bathroom. Most of our dorms are designed for 4 students. Please note that room requests are not possible, as we assign rooms in a way that best supports the overall group dynamic.
